I am a new member on this forum because I am considering buying a ReadyNAS Duo to act as a media and file store and primary back-up.
Not being deeply technical, the many 100 pages on reliability issues leave me baffled :?, and no up-to-date summary seems to exist. Please can somebody tell me
1- which are the largest known-to-be-reliable disks on the HCL? I would love 2TB disks but they all seem to fail in droves.
2- whether I will get reliable disks buying the Duo with the pre-installed disks on the 2-for-1 offer, or should I buy the empty box and source the disks myself?
Thank you in advance!
