You are runing an ancient version of the OS, and a Beta one at that. Before you do anything else, you need to get it updated.
The only protocols your amp suports are it's propritary MusicCast and DLNA. Since MusicCast is for portable devices, you need to use DLNA with the NAS. You could use DLNA installed on the NAS, or you could use a PC with DLNA with the NAS just as a storage device for that PC.

Thanks - that did it!
I had to update to the oldest firmware on the site first, then to the latest, but then installing the DLNA popped everthing into action.
12 year old NAS with modern Amp :)
