readynas duo or ultra2 for me

Hey
I would replace my old single disk network device with one from netgear.
the network device is normally use for archiving pictures and videos.
but it should also be able to download things from RapidShare or torrent.

so my question is,
can the readynas duo download things?
or should I buy the ultra version ?

greetings

  • I don't think either download from rapidshare. There are community add-ons for torrents and usenet, you should browse these forums to get more information on them.

The ultra is much faster (for file transfers and applications). So I'd go with that over the duo.

BTW, There is also a pro2, which has the same performance as the ultra2, but has some business features and a longer warranty. You might price that one as well.
  • The pyload addon is available to download from file sharing sites like rapidshare
  • Hey, thank you for your very fast answers,
so I can install the app payload, on both readynas versions?
and I read something about that the ultra is 3x faster than the duo?
    is this right?
