You have two NAS units, a DUOv1 and a DUOv2.
You can find the v2 on the network. What do you mean, you can access files and the Dashboard?
You said that neither NAS appear in your router. Hmmm, if the NAS is wired to the router *and* you can communicate with it, then it must appear in the router connected devices?
You said the v1 is not communicating at all but the yellow led is on permanently. This could be a speed negotiation indication.
So I recommend we start by finding the details of the working v2 to be sure we are on the same page. Find the IP address, log in to the admin page (Dashboard), confirm file shares via your PC (is that Windows or MAC, which version, wired or wireless connection), what is the IP address of the PC, what router do you have. Many questions I know, but please take the time to dig around a bit more to give us a few more clues so that we can help you with the next steps.
Then repeat for the DUOv1. If it's not communicating at all, then we may need more drastic action. But first, do you have an old/spare hard drive?
