ReadyNas Duo v1 RAID-X Question
I have a ReadyNas Duo v1 with 2 1TB drives, however one has just died and is out of warranty, so I'm considering replacing it with a 2TB WD RED drive. Can anyone tell me if RAID -X will automatically ...

mdgm is wanting to check (a) that your firmware supports 2 TB drives (4.1.8 does), and (b) if your current RAID array has 4K alignment (unknown, which is why he asked to see partition.log).
While you can simply replace the drives one at a time, to get the best performance with 2 TB you need 4K alignment. If you don't have that already, you would need to do a factory reset to get it, and restore from backup.
Maybe you can post the partition.log info.
