New here....just got this box and I'm trying to reset it so I can 1. get access to the web interface and update the firmware 2. reset it to default, so that it can show up on my network for access...

The firmware is on the internal flash in the unit. When you are able to open Frontview you should be able to check for updates via System > Update
I can, but it's the same; "Setup," "Browse," "Format," all greyed out. The old IP is still there. And it's still doing what I said it was doing last.
