ReadyNas fails Cyber audit

We recentl;y had a cyber audit and the ReadyNas 214 came up as a potential issue.
Specifically a medium (level 5.0) warning (5) for mDNS with the explanation that the "service understands the Bonjour (also known as ZeroConf or mDNS) protocol, which allows anyone to uncover information from the host such as its operating system type and exact version, its hostname, and the list of services it is running. "

The fix is to Filter incoming traffic to UDP port 5353, or disable mDNS.
However I cannot see any option to do this and control panel doesnt evenlist it.

The only protocol is is running is SMB & Http(s)

Is it possible to disable think of a work around?

Thanks in advance

    Welcome to the Community!

Bonjour is used to share files between LAN on different OS (Windows and Mac) devices, it allows devices running on different OS to share resources that is why the NAS uses this service to be able to commmunicate to both.

You can disable uPnP on the NAS under System tab > Settings. This will limit the connection/discovery to the NAS,

uPnP allows devices on the same LAN to discover each other and connect through standard network protocols.  Here's an old post about this setting.
