If the problem is a full OS partition you should configure email scripts that alert you to the issue so you can deal with the problem proactively before it becomes a problem.
e.g. an email with output from
Could configure a script to only send it if the usage is over a certain level. Then look into the system, find out why it is getting so full and take steps to reduce the likelihood of that happening again. While you are it update the firmware on the box if it is out of date.
