ReadyNAS NV rnv1-s2-0000 can’t connect
Hello everyone- my old ReadyNAS NV (Infrant Ready label) powers up, I can ping it successfully but cannot access the files on the drives. Tried remapping the drives in file manager but the connection...

RAIDar does not work on my windows 10 system. I also tried running RAIDar in windows 7 compatibility mode but no luck. Is there a version that is compatible with windows 10?
Will R-Studio work if I configured the NAS as X-RAID?
When I try to access the admin interface at http://192.168.1.80/admin I get a can’t reach this page error even though the can ping the address successfully.
Any idea what the blinking power LED indicates?
Once on, the NAS is also difficult to power down. Only way I can power down is to hold the powering button down for about one minute.
Thanks

I'm running RAIDar on Windows 10 and 11, so it is compatible. You do need a compatible version of Java installed.
RAIDar is how you find out the status of your NAS. Your description doesn't sound like any of the documented LED error codes. But those are listed as being for 2-drive systems (after the NV was replace4d by the NV+, the only units without a display):
LED blink behavior for 2 disk systems is three quick blinks of all disk LEDs and the backup LED, followed by a
1s delay, followed by a number of slow blinks. The number of slow blinks will be the error code.
Current error codes:
1 - Vendor mismatch
2 - No disks detected
3 - Bad contents on root partition of disks
4 - Flash error
5 - Unsupported RAID configuration- wb26Feb 05, 2025StarThat must be it. I do not have Java on this laptop. Do you know which version of Java is required?
- wb26Feb 05, 2025StarInstalled Java 8 update 441 but no luck running RAIDar 4.3.8. I can’t even uninstall version 4.3.8.
I tried redownloading and reinstalling 4.3.8 but get an immediate error of “The application was unable to start correctly” This is the same error I get when I try to run the already installed copy of RAIDar 4.3.8.
I downloaded version 6.5 which runs but fails to detect the NAS on my network. I can ping the NAS successfully from the PC I’m running RAIDar 6.5 on. Does version 6.5 support the ReadyNAS NV?- wb26Feb 05, 2025StarI was able to install RAIDar 4.3.8 on a different Windows 10 pc but it also was not able to detect my NAS on the network.
Assuming the drives are OK and if I can find another NV chassis is it possible to simply swap the four drives into the new chassis to be able to read them?
Are there any other command line tools I can run to further test the NAS? I’ll also try directly connecting the NAS to the pc. Maybe RAIDar will detect it.- wb26Feb 05, 2025StarI connected the NAS directly to the PC which I setup to be on the same subnet and was able to successfully ping the NAS at 192.168.168.168 but RAIDar once again failed to detect the NAS. Thanks for any further assistance you can provide.

But 6.5 should find the NAS also. Turn off any internet security and antivirus software on the PC, and see if that makes any difference.
If that gives the same result, try removing the disks and powering up the NAS. RAIDar should detect the system and give you a "no disks" status.
On LED codes, there is an NV listing here:
But I am not seeing your particular pattern there.
