Hi yes is a V2 with external Power Brick, I have used a multimeter to check that getting 12V from the 2 pairs of Pins.
Just concerned that the configuration may also be in CMOS of machine so when putting my 4 discs into a different replacement chasis - it gets confused and wants to reformat all the disks.
??????????

But to answer your question, yes, you can move your drives to another NAS of the same model (being careful regarding the "V2" designation, as it matters) and all will be fine if the only issue is the NAS hardware.
But trying to boot without the drives is the best first step. If it really is a V2, then trying a new power brick would be the best next step.
A V2 is black in color, says "ReadyNAS NV+v2" on the front panel, and has an external power brick. The V1 is silver in color, says "ReadyNAS NV+" on the front but may have a small label that says V2 or V3, and has an integrated power supply.

All configuration data is on the drives.
Did you test the power brick under load? That you see 12V with no load is really not much of a test.
