ReadyNAS NV+ v2 issue after lightning strike
I have tried scrolling the forum for answers but there is so many diff. variations so i ask my own quiestion. Last week my house was hit by a lightning strike, which ofcourse took out all fuses and...
Well, i surrender.. I just dont have the time to re-learn all the linux stuff again. The link was the best yet, but you can encounter so many errors and will not know where to start. And so did i.. error on the mounting so no access on /mnt..
Last resort right now is R-Linux.. it's scanning one of the discs right now and i will return with results, good or bad..
If this does not work, i found a new NV+ V2 at a dealer (they are goin out of stock), so i will buy this if everything else fails..
BUT will pop this question already, i noticed when starting up the new RN10400, that in the display i could read "Factory reset".. I dont want to read that if installing
my old discs in a new NV+ v2, right? Should i put a blank disc in first, let it boot and work the system, and then remove the blank, insert the 4 old discs and it would be just like with my old NV+ v2?
EDiT: the R-linux tool just finished with read errors.. maaaannnyyyy.. so thats busted.. Ordering a new NV+ v2...
