ReadyNAS NV+ with dead power supply
Hi, I'm the unfortunate owner of a ReadyNAS NV+ with FW version 4.1.6 which now has a dead power supply. Is there any way to replace the power supply, or transfer the data on the disks. Or even hook it up to an external power supply just to back up the data?
Really have to get the data off from the device...
Greatful for any solutions.
Fredrik

You can try contacting support - if your serial number is in the range affected by a service action, they will replace the PSU w/o charge (even though warranty has expired). They might also be able to sell you one or point you to reseller.
If you are in Europe there is at least one company in the UK that carries replacements (http://www.evercase.co.uk/CompatibilityListReadynas.htm).
You can also use an external ATX supply, but in that case you do need to modify the pinout. (hint: get a 20 pin extension cable and modify that!) The pinout is here: https://community.netgear.com/ejquo23388/attachments/ejquo23388/readynas-hardware-compatibility/13477/1/ReadyNAS_PSU_pinout.pdf
