ReadyNAS PRO 6 EOL? Now What?
I have been reading and seeing RNDP6000-200NAS (ReadyNAS Pro 6 Diskless) is EOL (end-of-life) and was wondering if the RDNP6310-200NAS, that is stated as the replacement, if it is getting a beefier CPU? (CPU, Memory capacity, HDD Capacity, etc.)
Also, is there any other diskless coming if the Pro6 is now gone?

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredWhere have you been reading that? The Pro 6 with disks is the same as the diskless unit except with disks pre-installed.
The Ultra 6 Plus (RNDP600U-200) is EOL. - Cameleon50AspirantIt is on the Netgear EOL bulletin. It states the the RDNP6000 now is being replaced with the RNDP6310-200. (ReadyNAS Pro 6 Diskless is moving to a 3TB model)

Need to know if there is a newer 'diskless' PRO coming or is this a corporate wide exit from diskless platforms? - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredThat seems to be an old entry referring to when they replace the Pro Business Edition (-100) with the Pro 6 (-200). Originally the Pro 6 was not sold diskless.
Further down I see RNDP6000-100 replaced by RNDP6000-200.
I see no mention on that page of EOL'ing of the 2-bay or 4-bay diskless models so its safe to conclude that they have not discontinued the Pro 6 diskless. In addition the Pro 6 diskless is recommended now as an alternative to the recently discontinued Ultra 6 Plus.
The first gen Pro was released late 2008, the second gen Pro was released late 2010. The second gen Pro is extremely fast (the first gen one is very fast too) so I wouldn't be surprised if the time between refreshes is longer this time, but we'll have to wait and see what NetGear does. Buy when you need it. We users can speculate as to what might happen but NetGear doesn't announce new ReadyNAS units long before they are available for purchase.
Btw the RNDP6310-200NAS is the Pro 6 with 3x1TB enterprise drives from the Hard Disk HCL installed. - Cameleon50AspirantThis is good news and thanks for the clarification. We are needing to upgrade our current Ultra 6 Plus to the PRO and it is so much easier to swap drives and move on. Good info and thanks again!
