ReadyNAS Pro 6 failed drive and lost volume / shares

The volume status is dead, not the disk status.
This happened because of your mistake (and unfortunately your attempt to fix it).
It likely is possible to forcibly reassemble the RAID array, but that would require either use of tech support mode or ssh. Do you have any experience with the linux command line?
Also, can you give more information on what is going on with the original disk 3? One thing you could try is
- power down the NAS
- reinsert the original disk 3 (removing the new new drive)
- powering up the NAS
Thanks Stephen. I ssh'd into the NAS, and I'm getting
"Could not chdir to home directory /c/home/admin: No such file or directory"
and then the ssh session ends. That kind of make sense since no volume is recognized. When I boot the NAS, I get
"Volume scan failed to run properly."
and then this message :
"The paths for the shares listed below could not be found. Typically, this occurs when the ReadyNAS is unable to access the data volume." - followed by a list of shares.
Any suggestions on what I can try next?
