READYNAS PRO 6 with Logitech Media Server 7.7.6

Hi, My ReadyMAS pro running Logitech Media Server Version: 7.7.6 - 1521467459 can no linger scan my whole music collection. It fails after about 3000 tracks. Can I uninstall LMS and go back to SqueezeboxServer_7.6.1-i386-readynas? It seems like squeebox server always worked.

Or is there some version of LMS I can downgrade to?

Separate question, if I want to go to 6 x 8 Tb drives will that work with this ReadyNAS assuming I'm ready to format and start from scratch once I put the 8 Tb drives in?

Thanks,

Are you running OS 6, or are you running OS 4.2.x firmware?

OS 4.2.x can handle 6x8TB, but it can't expand later on.  You should consider switching to OS 6 if you want an array of this size.

      Thanks.

I don;t tink I'n on OS 6, here is all the information I see in the squuze window:

Operating system: Netgear RAIDiator - EN - iso-8859-1
      Platform Architecture: i686-linux
      Perl Version: 5.8.8 - i486-linux-gnu-thread-multi
      Database Version: DBD::SQLite 1.34_01 (sqlite 3.7.7.1)
      Total Players Recognized: 0

I will probably go to OS 6, maybe logitech media server will be able to scan my library?

To do this I'll neext to backup the whole RAID so that I can replace the drives under OS6 and then copy everything back.

Whå†s the most effience tway to do this? Connect another RAID to the USB port of the ReadyNAS and copy from my Mac? Or is there a way I can loginto the readyNAS so that I can do the copy from the command line there?

      Thanks.

You could create backup jobs on the NAS that copy shares to the USB drive.

But since the NAS uses only USB-2, you'll find that copying over gigabit ethernet is faster.  So you could also connect the USB drive to your mac and copy over the network.  Drag and Drop will work, but I'd use a tool like freefilesync (or some other copy utility) instead.

The information you'd want is the firmware running on your NAS - which is in the NAS web ui.
