I am currently in the process of using FTP to back up the drive. It seems to be the only thing that is working as it's not stressing the ReadyNAS out as it just does a few files at a time. I'm about 60% of the way thru it right now.
Once I have a full backup I'll be in a position to do a factory reset if required by netgear support however 3 drive failures in the same bay really does point to a hardware failure to me.
Been thinking I should buy a second ReadyNAS Pro to do nightly backups to. Does the second one need to have matching storage capabilities or would it be ok to get one with just enough to do the backup and then expand it in the future as the data on the first out grows the capacity of the second?
