ReadyNAS RN214 will not resynch new disk
I had a disk fail for the first time in 3 years. Bought an identical WD Red Pro 4T disk and hot swapped. The NAS recognizes it but for the life of me I cannot get it to resynch. The front panel flash...

After trying everything (thanks community) I bought a second disk... like magic, it worked as expected. It seems the original disk (out of the box) that I ordered from Amazon was defective. Would have never believed it if I had not tried a second one. Thanks everyone.

I have rebooted the NAS. Nothing. I formatted the disk (though it was brand new). Nothing. I've spent hours trying to figure it out without success - it can't be that difficult but I'm at a loss.
There could be some clues in the log zip file, so I suggest beginning by downloading that.

Did you format it via the NAS GUI? If the drive is formatted with a "foreign" OS, the NAS won't add it for fear it's overwriting data you need.
