ReadyNAS RNDP 6350 Won't boot stuck at ReadyNAS LCD screen :(
Well it seems like after 15 years of using this product with very little issues it would seem that based on my Raidar screen that my VPD file was corrupt, and without the Model and Serial info 😞
See attached screen shot of my Raidar for this NAS unit. I have 4 of them and have used them reliably for a long time.
I have read most of the posts related to similar issues just looking for some tech support to get the VPD file back so I can wipe it and start over 🙂
The Raidar screen shows the following:
Model: None
Name: readynas
Serial: NONE000200000
Status: Tech Support Mode
Firmware: [blank]
IP Address: 92.168.168.169 [MAC]
IP Address: 92.168.168.168 [MAC]
Debug code: Telnet Mode
I tried both the ReadyNAS v4OS recovery USB and the ReadyNAS v6OS recovery USB with no luck. It simply will not go into recovery mode on the front panel.
I was wondering if anyone could help me get my VPD file fixed and then I could try the recovery USB again. It was upgraded to ReadNAS v6.9.10 and was working fine. But as luck would have it something obviously went wrong 🙂
I do have the VGA cable that I have never used. The only problem is I do not have a VGA monitor - LOL I only have newer monitors/TVs
The good news is this was backed up and I have not lost anything so just want to get it back to working again so I can use it for backup of another NAS product which is what these 4 NAS's I have do now. They are used for backup of data locally in case some other type of disaster like this one happens 🙂
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Since you have 4, is at least one of them the same model as this one? If so, just copy the VPD from the good one to the bad one. Use the instructions here to get access to the flash: Backup-and-restore-of-VPD-file-for-legacy-ReadyNAS-running-OS6 . It's been a long time since we've seen activity from a moderator who could fix your file. USB recovery cannot repair a bad/missing VPD.
