Readynas rndu6000 - ERR used disks check RAIDar after new r8000 nighthawk install

I have Changed router to r7000 which is connected through a switch to my Nas RND-6B ( rndu6000) Running in Xraid i think, not sure what firmware was installed
Its now running through an unmanaged switch and the Nas has been assigned a new ip but i couldnt log into readynas via browser.
I keep getting  a message on screen saying - ERR used disks check RAIDar
I have Restarted the nas and went into boot menu
Ran OS reinstall but still got Err message
i Then Ran a disk check, after approx 10 hrs of disk check and testing messages it went back to Err message
I have 4 x 4tb WD red drives installed which were showing 51% free on the nas prior to this issue
I have all of my media on the nas including all family photos and movies which i dont want to lose and i dont have another backup of the data

Should i remove all the drives and put in a dummy drive to do a factory reset?
If i do this will i be able to reinstall my drives later to recover the data

Ive tried to register it several times to get support
i keep getting a message saying products country of purchase is not valid, but there is no option to change the country

I tried calling the only number for netgear i could find in Australia but they dont support readynas
It was 1-800-987-893, does anyone know of a different number where i can get remote support in Australia

Thanks in advance for any assistance

This isn't directly related to the router change - more likely something when wrong when you shut down the NAS.

If you can connect your disks up to a Windows PC (using USB adapter/docks) you could try data recovery software (for instance www.r-studio.com )

Netgear paid support is another option, hopefully JohnCM_S or Marc_V can resolve your support issue.  They do offer a data recovery service ( https://kb.netgear.com/69/ReadyNAS-Data-Recovery-Diagnostics-Scope-of-Service )

That won't help.  The factory reset just installs the operating system onto the drive(s) and creates a fresh data partition.  So it won't resolve any issues with your current disks.
