We have a ReasdyNAS RW31600 with a message indicating degrading drive. How do we know which one to change?

It should be shown as failed on the volume tab.
If there is any doubt, then download the log zip file, and look in mdstat.log You can copy/paste the contents in your reply if you have trouble figuring out what it is telling you.
You can also map the linux drive names (sda, sdb, etc) to disk bays by downloading disk_info.log.
