Readynas ultra 2 (RNDU 2000) can't connect to admin nor re-install OS
Hi I have a RNDU2000 Readynas ultra 2. Two disks, no backup :( It won't start, with radar it says sometimes disk ok and next boot "corrupt root". When disks is ok I can install it as a new but I ...
Haven't tried R-linux but vmware player with Debian as explained here, vmware Debian . Debian found the disks but could not read them.
SMART says "disk error" when bootin in windows.
Will try vendor program.
But shouldn't I be able to login to admin page?

What happens if you enter https://192.168.1.26/admin
Do you see the login prompt?
If so, what happens when you enter admin and the admin password?
No I get "connection refused". I can ping it. I can SSH when rebooting it into "tech support" with root and the "secret" password. But my knowledge in linux is limited. Of course, Google is my friend, and I did some things I found on different threads in this forum. But nothing helped...
But file transfers work through windows file explorer? Do you have a backup of the data?
If the answer to both is no, try r-linux for windows as suggested above. Your data is certainly at risk.
You can also look at the SMART stats on windows. Acronis Drive Monitor is one utility that will do this - it's free, but you do need to disclose your email address to get it.
No Windows can't see the disks.
I ran som test with Seagate tools, short test is ok but long test failed. I will run some more tests.
It doesn't look good if both disks failes. No backup of data :(
