The BIOS update was successful then. That is the latest BIOS.
Can you power down the ReadyNAS, disconnect the power to the NAS, press the power button for say 30 seconds, continue to leave the power disconnected for a while, then reconnect power to the NAS, power on again and see if it will reboot with a USB drive attached?
