readynas ultra 6 failing to reboot when network cable attached
hi as the topic says the device wont reboot while attached to the network. i saw a solution suggesting to replace the power supply. before getting to it. didt someone found another and easier...

thank you for the reply.
it just won't boot when the cable connected.
starts to boot after thefs check it reboots
one the network cable disconnected it works ok.
after booting it works ok even with the cable attached.
i can read the files
but when i try loading files it sometimes boots again.
i dotb have spare power supply
if that is most likely the solution
i"ll buy one

This doesn't sound like a power supply issue to me.
What firmware are you running on the NAS?
Do you have a backup of the data?

Certainly a very odd one if it is. Does it do the same thing regardless of which port is connected to your LAN?

thank you all for the replies
the data is not backed up, but it is not something i can recover from other sources.
the FW as i recall is 4.2.31
it doesn't matter wich lan input is used
what can it be if not power supply problem?

I'd back up the data immediately. Then I'd try the power supply experiment. If it is rebooting under use, that points to power supply imo.
