Not much to add, except to say that I followed these instructions to install a Core 2 Duo E7600 and 8 GByte of GSkill RAM in a ReadyNAS Ultra 6 Plus, with--so far--exactly the same positive results. I had some trepidation, but, having in the past assembled my own PCs from parts, these upgrades turned out to be remarkably simple, fast, and trouble-free.
