Readynas Ultra 6
I guess I spoke to soon. After using my NAS for a day I shut it down. The next day it would not boot. Just displays ReadyNAS. It may not have shutdown clean. I'm not sure how I got past it before...

If you have a serial TTL to USB adapter, you don't need a VGA adapter.
The standard baud rate is 9600. You also don't need to take the NAS apart.
There should be a small rectangular silver adhesive strip on the back of the NAS; the serial port is underneath it.
I have the ReadyNAS Ultra 4 RNDU4000, and it works perfectly. I can even access the BIOS.
