readynas ultra4 plus / sata2, sata3
Hi,
I've just bought a readynas ultra4 + and I use my 2 disks from a previous readynas : seagate 7200.12 1Tb, SATA 2
Theses seagate disks are no more available, so I plan to buy 2 x seagate 7200.12 1Tb SATA 3 to fill the 2 last slots.
It is possible that I encounter some problems due to the mxing of 2 different disks in sata2 and 3 ? For instance performances problems ?
Also: what is the sata level of internal controller in this ready nas u4+ : SATA2 or 3 ?
Thanks in advance.

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredIt's SATA2, I think. Anyway a mechanical hard disk won't even saturate SATA I.
You will be limited to the speed of the slowest disk but it should work fine. I would upgrade to the latest RAIDiator before adding the additional disks.
