ReadyNASS

I've connected my ReadyNAS Ultra 6 directly to an iMac via ethernet but I keep getting error message "Connection Failed".  I've tried Finder > Connect To Server and entering the IP address of the NAS...

Have you set the IP on the NASand Mac so they are on the same subnet?
