Firstly, did you create X-RAID volume or non-XRAID volume? If it was non-XRAID volume, what RAID type you created?
For booting in Volume Read Only mode you can follow this: Boot menu of Volume Read Only

I think i used an raid 5, but I don't know now. It is aged since I looked into it
But the disk did run as back-up for each other

and the user guide, does NOT tell how to get nto the boot menu for volume read only. Its just mention the possibilety to do so...

If you didn't destroy the default "data" volume, and create a new one, it should be RAID1 in your RN102.
If you are sure the disks mirror for each other(it means you installed 2*1TB disks, and you got a 1TB volume), and after booting in volume read only mode the volume is still unable to be mounted, then you can try:
1. Power off your RN102.
2. Cold remove one of the disks(if you know which one is bad, just remove the bad one).
3. Keep the other disk in the box and boot up.
It might work if one of your disks was still healthy. Please power off your box before removing the disk. Good luck!

tried that. but no succes.
I says in the raidar, multible disk errors
