recover netgear NAS102 failure

I had a disc issue, where one drive had to be recovered. I eventually did the "reinstall OS" option from the reset boot menu and after 18 hours of rebuilding it seemed to resolve it. Then like a wee...

Can you explain this more?

  1. Were you seeing a disk failure?
  2. An inactive volume?
  3. Something else?
