Remote UPS - Shutdown
I am using a UPS APC Back-UPS ES 700VA connected to another device using a USB cable. This device by using the remote ups option of ReadyNAS RN10400 sends the state of the UPS to ReadyNAS. When the electricity is OUT and the UPS kicks in that device sends this info to ReadyNAS that the electricity is out and it shuts down. ReadyNAS does nothing. Isn't it supposed to shutdown also. Keep in mind that when electricity comes back the device that has the UPS connected will come back to its last state. Your help will be appreciated.

Have you had a look at this?: ****
Yes it is.
Under the UPS setting of ReadyNAS I can see all the information that is send from the other device.
The other Device by the way is not Windows is Linux and it is another NAS. - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredAnother ReadyNAS? What model and what firmware version is on it?

I found this in QNAP
Network UPS Tools - UPS driver controller 2.6.5
Network UPS Tools - Generic HID driver 0.37 (2.6.5) - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredIs the power cable for your router/switch also connected to the UPS. The NASes need to be able to communicate over your network when the power goes out.

Yes it is.
Like I told you the event when the ups kicks in can be seen in readyNAS. So, I am pretty sure that the readynAS knows that runs on UPS so QNAP send the event to readynas - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredDo you have screenshots of your configuration for UPS monitoring for each NAS?
