I have older ReadyNas NV+ model RND4000. They came with 4x750 gig drives. I called Netgear and they said I could upgrade my drives to 2TB each and recommended the following number   Seagate Bar...

The NV+ can handle 2 TB drives.

 

Likely your firmware is very old - what firmware are you running?

      Start by posting the firmware you are running now.  RAIDar can see it, and you can also see it on the home page of the admin web ui.
