Replacing the CPU fan of a ReadyNAS Pro 6
Hello everyone! My shiny new ReadyNAS Pro 6 has a minor problem: the CPU fan makes a ticking noise which seems to be getting ever louder. Because RMAing the whole unit from Finland would be a hassl...
I was able to find a suitable replacement 80x80x15mm fan: Delta EFC0812DB-PWM. Both its CFM rating and static pressure exceed that of the stock fan. Not loud at 1900 RPM (which the Pro 6 seems to keep it at) and keeps the CPU cool.
