One failure story:
I had replaced the fan with a Silenx ixtrema Pro 60 that comes with 14cfm at advertised 12 dBA. The fan is indeed much more quiet but nowhere near silent. But it couldn't cope with the heat and I noticed the harddisks going up to 50C. Now I've put back the old fan...
