Reset folder permissions, checked permissions in Windows Explorer but user getting error
We have a folder that my user needs to access pretty much 7 days a week. Just recently, I was told that she could not open a set of Excel spreadsheets from the ReadyNas. See error attached
I have checked this persons permissions on the NAS and everything is fine. I've tried to access myself but got the same error.
One thing I noticed, is that the spreadsheet in question takes ages to download, even though the ReadyNas is on the same site as the user.

What firmware are you running?
Can she access other files in the share?

You also saw the same performance issues? Are you seeing that also with other files in the share?
Have you tried copying it, and see if the problem propagates to the copy?

Firmware is 6.10.3
She can access some other files in the share. Not all.
I was able to open the document on another PC at the site without issue. I did notice that there was quite a bit of lag when I opened the document in question from my desktop, however on another similar sized spreadsheet, there was no lag. My user is on the same suite as the NAS.
I was unable to open a copy from the NAS from my desktop.
I used another users profile as I added that user to the same share with full read/write access. When I map the drive as the other user, I am getting access denied when I try to open a file.

Perhaps try resetting the share's permissions.
I would try turning CIFS off for the share, and then turn it on again. If that doesn't help, reboot the NAS.
You could alternatively try copying it in the admin web ui. If the copy opens on the PC, then you can safely delete the original in the web ui.
I saw similar issues with one of the 6.9.x releases - not sure which one though.

couldn't find the CIFS on users machine. I've rebooted the NAS and reset the permissions 3 times.
finally got it working on the 3rd time.
