Resyncing New Drives
I just got my new RN214 and loaded it up with 4x 8TB WD Red drives.
Is it normal for resyncing to take 2 days?
Yes, and I'm a bit surprised if it finished that fast.
24 TB of data need to be read, so 8TB of partity blocks can be calculated and written. It doesn't matter if the volume is empty or full, the operation is the same.
