RN102 "ReadyNAS detected previously formatted disks"
"Your ReadyNAS booted with disks that were previously used in another type of device. Settings will be saved once a volume is created."
This is the error message I am getting when trying to log in.
Configration is just one 3 TB disk.
I was unable to access or see my NAS from my network. I unplugged and plugged it back in. It showed up in my network with a different name NAS-34-1F-B5. It looks like a default name. When I right click the network icon the last IP number has changed and it wont recognize any of my passwords. However, it does let me login to get that error message with the default “admin-password” login as though it has been reset or something.
No issues for 7 years now this. My question is if I can’t be pointed to some articles to fix this. Is my data still there? Can I pay for GearHead support to sort this out?

Your NAS was working before this happened right? Have you tried dong an OS-Reinstall? You can do that by accessing the Boot menu of your RN102.
However, if you have gained access back to your NAS but you now have a fresh configuration, chances are the NAS has been reset and unfortunately data recovery might be impossible since the drive has been formatted.
Gearhead contracts are not for ReadyNAS. ReadyNAS has it's own OnCall contract which can be purchased through your NETGEAR portal or through contacting Support.
If you have not seen the NAS perform a reset, you may still want to try doing OS-Reinstall.
