Hi there,
Many thanks for the reply. Yes I accept that we can never tell but it seems strange that out of the blue it happens when removing loads of data but there you go.... coincidence I am sure. Anyway, how do I get the smart logs you were saying ?
Do I download them etc from somehwere?
Many thanks again

You can download the full log zip file. Disk_info.log, smart_history.log, and volume.log all have SMART information. Volume.log also has a section on maintenance activity at the bottom. You can also find disk errors logged in system.log and kernel.log.

There's a download control on the logs page of the web ui.

Thank you StephenB. Apologies I was thinking of something else when smart logs etc was mentioned rather than the logs on the web ui.
Thanks again, might send them on or attached for perusal if it may be helpful as I would not see anything spectacular no doubt as not one for going through logs of Netgear devices etc.
