RN104 NAS taking forever to ReSync after Hot Swap of bad drive

I hot swapped a drive in my RN104 NAS. Everything worked and it began resyncing the RAID. After 2 days, it's only at 5.21%. Any ideas why it is taking so long?
A friend has the same NAS and his only took a couple days to resync after a drive replacement.

    What was the disk configuration?

Have you checked the disk health of all the drives?

      (4) 2TB drives- RAID

3 other drives are showing healthy

At this pace, I may just hook up an external drive and back everything up and then start over.

Don't rely on the green status on the admin page.  Look at the details of the smart stats for all four drives (for instance, download the log zip file and look in disk_info.log).

Backing up your data is a good idea, as it is at risk when you do a resync.

  • Looks like one of other drives has some errors: Model: WDC WD3000FYYZ-01UL1B0 Firmware: 01.01K01 Class: SATA RPM: 7200 Sectors: 5860533168 ATA Error Count: 36 Reallocated Sectors: 5 Reallocation Events: 5 Spin Retry Count: 0 Current Pending Sector Count: 11 Uncorrectable Sector Count: 12
