RN204 won't power on
Hi,
My rn204 won't power on. I've tried removing all the hard drives but no luck either. I suspect it may be a power supply issue.
Where can I find a replacement psu and are there any other things worth trying?
thanks,

If the NAS is still under warranty (3 years for original purchaser), then you can contact Netgear Paid Support via my.netgear.com and ask for an RMA.
If you google for the power adapter (either using "RN204 power adapter" or using part number info on the existing adapter), you can find several that should work. Then do a risk buy (since of course you don't know for sure that the power adapter is the problem).
Are you seeing no signs of power at all? Also, did you inspect the 4-pin socket in the NAS for any sign of physical damage?

Do be careful with the 4-pin supplies and make sure the one you buy is compatible with ReadyNAS. There are two pin-outs of the 4-pin DIN used by different manufacturers. For ReadyNAS. the poisitve pins are 1 & 2, which are on the keyed (flat) side of the connector.

I tested it with a multimeter and the power supply appears to be dead.
ordered this on ebay so fingers crossed
