RN316 Memory upgrade?

Yes.

The 312, 314 and 316 all use the same CPU and RAM.

Note that we don't support 3rd party memory upgrades. If you do upgrade the memory be sure to run the memory test for at least a few passes before trusting the memory. Note: it is possible that incompatible memory may pass the memory test.

Been looking for the "recommended" memory for the 316... I know it's not "officially supported," but what is a good memory module for it? I have a 316 on the way, and depending on performance, I might upgrade the memory in it later. At the very least, what voltage and timings does it need?

Any performance boost from a memory upgrade wouldn't likely be that great unless you are doing things which are very memory hungry leading to lots of swapping.

You'd see a much greater performance boost from getting a 516.

The 516 is out of my price range. But figured I might see a performance boost depending on the background apps running, such as Plex.
