RN422 OS Reinstall Stuck on "Checking root FS"

Question

HiTrying to do OS reinstall&nbsp; through the boot menu.&nbsp; After selecting OS reinstall,&nbsp; it 's stuck&nbsp; "Checking&nbsp; root FS"&nbsp; for th e past 36 hours.&nbsp; Do I let it run as is or is there something I can do to bypass this stage.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;any&nbsp; advise would be appreciated.&nbsp;thanks

You can't bypass that check (and the OS is reinstalled onto the root FS).&nbsp; It's clear something is very wrong, I suggest powering down the NAS and not letting it continue.

Hi Stephen B&nbsp;Recently changed my password for some reason&nbsp; and could not get into Admin page after with either new or old password.&nbsp; It was recommended I try to do OS reinstall to fix the issue.&nbsp; &nbsp; Now it's stuck&nbsp; &nbsp;"checking root FS" .&nbsp; &nbsp;I tried updating FW through Readycloud home page and nothing happens after clicking on "UPDATE".&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Any&nbsp; suggestions?&nbsp;thanks

Could be a full root volume.

So you didn’t have a password recovery question setup?

That is the strange part of it.&nbsp; It didn't&nbsp; go through the protocol asking me&nbsp; for recovery questions.&nbsp; The reason I had to change it because the old one stop working.&nbsp; So went through the steps to creating new PW but never went thorugh recovery process.
