RN528 won't boot
I have a RN528 running the latest version of OS6 with 8 drives installed. It has been runnin since 2020.
The device was powered off prematurely during the shutdown process. Now when it is powered up it displays "Booting..." for ever. I have tried to access the boot menu by holding in the reset button and powering up but after 3 minutes it is still displaying "Booting...". Can anyone give advice on how to access the boot menu and any other advice you may have to recover the data. Thank you

Not a good sign.
Try powering down and removing the disks (labeling them by slot, so you know where each goes). Then power up and see if the NAS reports a "no disks" status.
HI StephenB, many thanks for your speedy input. And I have good news... after trying to access the boot menu a couple more times, suddently it came up (I wonder if maybe the contacts of the reset switch were oxidized) so I have been able to start in read-only mode and have started the looooong process of copying 40Tb off the NAS.
My plan is to Factory Default the device once I have secured the data and hope that it will work OK as the drives were fine before the shutdown.
Thanks again for your support, much appreciated!

Great!
Backing up the data is the right next step.
