  • What firmware are you running?

One thing you can try is removing all the disks (labeling by slot), and then doing a fresh factory install onto a scratch disk (not part of the array).  The disk will be formatted, so anything on it will be lost.

The OS reinstall doesn't reinstall the full OS onto the hard drives.  Doing a from-scratch install will tell us whether this problem is in the chassis (including the flash) or a corrupted OS partition on the drives.

      Dear  StephenB,

We don't kanow the firmwasre version since we have not updated the NAS for more than 2 years and unfortunately we have no access to the system.

I installed a different HDD and I am getting the same errors when I am asking for the factory default settings.

      That is the console results.

      Dear  StephenB,

We don't know the firmware version since we have not updated the NAS for more than 2 years and unfortunately we have no access to the system.

I installed a different HDD and I am getting the same errors when I am asking for the factory default settings.

      That is the console results.

      Dear  StephenB,

We don't know the firmware version since we have not updated the NAS for more than 2 years and unfortunately we have no access to the system.

I installed a different HDD and I am getting the same errors when I am asking for the factory default settings.

Ihave attached the logs for you.

      • I'm wondering if this is the issue:

Bad block table found at page 65472, version 0x01

        nand_read_bbt: Bad block at 0x000007d60000

Perhaps JohnCM_S or Marc_V will chime in.
