RND2000-200 Not listed in Compatibility list?
Hello People I've been away from the forum for a long while and I'm rusty. I've purchased a RND2000-200 v2 2nd hand as my previous Nas died over a year ago and I've just not had a chance to do bugger...

Hi chirpa
I like your reply. It's good to know there's some sane people out there.
Those that can see the woods for the trees.
To navigate between real world needs and the twilight world of computer.
I stressed over this data loss for over a year, not having the time to remedy things.
This has caused me to really take a good look at this kinda behaviour. Whilst I am a computer user unlike my quoted friend, and we do need to be computer literate these days, but the question is to what extent?
If it ain't the Secret Service, money making machine and just plain business, then it's got to be scaled back.
Important documents, photos, paid for stuff ..... fine all good.
300 d/loaded films, that I'll never look at again and just store like some kind of moron. To boast to friends that "yes I do have that film", but I'll never bother to look at again, probably.
I'm guilty of being of a generation of Digital Hoarders.
I like tip tapping around on my computers, it's a hobby, challenges my little brain to get it whizzing this way and that.
But I've realised my mistakes here.
I've bought 2 V2's (don't ask, one came with 2 3TB drives), paid decent money for both. Wish I'd purchase the newer 100 range. Should've done my research before buying on a whim.
Gonna set them up as probably just basic backups.
Could've purchased an external 3TB hdd with backup software cheaper than it's internal counter part. Would've done. Could've bought 2, backup my backup, easy, done.
Enough ranting. Got to get to work to pay for this 2nd hand equipment (that's no doubt gonna give me more problems somewhere, wouldn't be Netgear otherwise).
Have a good New Year Everyone
Especially you Chirpa for helping with this conundrum.
man....I gotta get me one of those things called a Life......
