RR3312 behind firewall
Hello, I am setting up a ReadyNAS 3312 behind a corporate firewall where it would need to use a http/https proxy to access firmware and virus db updates. But I cannot seem to find a corresponding s...

The released firmware doesn't support http proxies.
The good news is that that 6.8.0 public beta does. You could try that (there is risk, but it seems to be stable), or you could just wait for it to be released.

That is good news indeed. How long do these things usually stay beta before they get released?

It's hard to say, it varies quite a bit. Perhaps 8 weeks from the first public beta? 6.8.0 is on third beta release.

Well, I put on 6.8.0 (with the usual "server internal error" message and installing anyway at reboot), and teh proxy setting is now there. It does not seem to work right, though. I assume "address" is where one puts the name of the proxy server, but it does not seem to accept dashes "-" in the name, which, however, are completely valid. It would seem someone scripted this with a check for "alphanumeric" with no regard for what actually constitutes a valid hostname.
So, not a real solution for now.

Can you put in an IP address in the "address" field?
