Running 1 hard disk on an ultra 2 plus.

It shouldn't cause any issues, but I do recommend that you keep your backup up to date. You have no redundancy with one drive. (RAID is not a substitute for backup anyway).

The default xraid-2 is fine if the second disk will be for redundancy. If you intend to use the second disk for more capacity, then you will won't want xraid-2. So you will need to override the default disk configuration, using RAIDar.

Xraid-2 would be automatic. Flex-Raid would require some Frontview configuration when you add the second disk.
