Seagate Expansion Desktop drive 3TB
I am having a problem getting my ReadyNas Duo to recognise my new Seagate 3TB USB3 drive. The drive powers up and spins up, but is not recognised by the NAS. In the "USB Storage" tab, it shows up as...
I resolved this problem with change MBR/NTFS partition type to GPT/NTFS.
Seagate Expansion manufactured with MBR/NTFS type.
But ReadyNAS cannot recognize MBR partition type with > 2TB.
Windows Disk Manager can easily change MBR disk partition type to GPT.
