Sending NetGear NAS OS 6 Logs to Splunk
We are trying to send Audit and system logs from our NetGear NAS running OS 6 to our Splunk server. I have looked on the Splunk site for APPs, looked on NetGear for Apps, looked for ways to send logs from the OS to our server and can't really find a good way to do it. ANy advice is appreciated.

rnutil create_system_log -o </path/filename> will create a system log .zip (using the path and file name in the command + .zip). The path must exist and be writable. So, use that in a script called by a cron job or use something that sends commands over SSH to create the log on a schedule.. The path can be a mounted server share. Using the date command will help in file naming.
Seeing how that looked when posted, the main command, with added spaces for clarity, is
r n u t i l. The "r n" (for ReadyNAS, I assume) can look a lot like an "m" in the forum font.
