BE (RS) series sending out BPDU on WAN

I am a network admin and have seen the same BPDU issue cited in this link (below). It is coming from multiple make/model BExxxx RSxx / RSxxx series Netgear routers. I would like to know what firmware solved this - as referenced in the PM towards the end of the thread in the link - https://community.netgear.com/discussions/nighthawk-wifi-7-be/be9200-sending-bpdu-out-wan-port/2405193

  • I am a network admin and have seen the same BPDU issue cited in this thread (link below). It is coming from multiple make/model BExxxx RSxx / RSxxx series Netgear routers.   • Hi I'm also facing a similar issue where BPDU is being sent out when trying to connect it to a switch. I'm using the RS300, any chance there's frimware or settings that solve it?

      this is what they told me for the resolution for the improper BPDU broadcast, however you will have to ask for the trial link directly from netgear. i do not have that:

       

      Here’s the current status by product family:
       RS700 — Not impacted.
       RS600 / RS500 / RS200 — Fixed in FW V1.0.5.12 (official release).
       RS300 / RS150 / RS180 / RS140 / RS130 — Fixed but not yet officially released. Netgear can provide you with a trial version if you’d like.
       RS100 / RS90 / RS70 — Fixed in FW V1.1.1.94 (official release).
