Doesn't matter. What matters is that the switch is getting its power from the UPS, so it stays powered up after the power fails.

Go to the power page on the web ui, and expand the UPS section.
- Select "remote UPS" as the type
- Enter the IP address of the other NAS as the address.
- Set the user to monuser
- Set the password to pass
Also reserve the IP address of the other NAS in your router.

That's pretty cool feature! I can't seem to get it to connect though. when I try to create the remote UPS entry, I get the following error:
Failed to communicate with UPS Error in during post proc code: 17003030001

hmm, somehow I managed to get it to connect by making sure the NAME field for the remote UPS matches the name given over on the other NAS for the UPS.

Stephen, more questions for you. I seem to have gotten this to work with two readynas, but now I want to add also a third pc runnign windows 10. Do you know if there is any reasonably easy way to get my Windows 10 pc to monitor the remote UPS and shutdown on power outage like the readynas units?
